It’s cold outside and you want something cozy to drink, right? Yet, you want something different. Maybe something you have never tried before or a spin on a classic recipe. Well, today you are in luck. Some of the traditional winter or holiday drinks have gotten kinda of boring. Well in the labs at Laeh Shea Apothecary, we make drinks that heal. Food and drinks are our medications. We just happen to find a delicious way of getting in our medication for health and wellness. We recently added an herb center to the store. And boy are we excited. It’s like a festival of herbs and we are creating the most divine concoctions and potions. LOL
The holidays are approaching and if you are like me you might indulge in a little something something during the holiday season. For me, my favorite is sangria. I love me some sangria. But, unfortunately, my diabetes just doesn’t agree with it so well. Ever the fighter, I was determined this year to find a healthy way to eat all the foods I love. So, the challenge was presented on how to make a healthy sangria that tastes good. It didn’t take a trip to Europe or the Orient. Just a few feet away, the herb center packed everything that I needed to make a delicious, herbaceous sangria.
Here’s what you will need to make your own sangria. We have the mix already blended if you visit the store.
Sangria Tea Blend
1/2 cup of orange juice
1 cinnamon ( for eye thrill)
1 slice of orange (for eye candy)
2 tbsp of Stevia
Boil water. Steep Sangria Blend for 7 minutes. Add orange juice, cinnamon stick, orange slice and stevia.
