I never set out to be an entrepreneur. It just happened! One day I was being interviewed and the person called me an entrepreneur rather than a doctor or scientist. In my head, I had only identified myself as a medical scientist because I felt that everything else I did was some hybrid of what I did in the lab or in the clinic with patients. The field of science is so broad that it teaches and trains you to do so many other things that you had no idea you could do. I would have never thought that a chemistry class would have given me so much foundation for making cosmetic products. You can also click here for more to know how to overcome drug addiction. But, you cannot make homemade soap, lotion, or any other cosmetic because it takes science to create these kinds of products.
Today, I want to challenge you. In my world, it’s Wednesday and I want to help you create wealth-health. On Wednesdays, I use my skills of entrepreneurship and I challenge my audience to find ways to make wealth in the health sector. The health industry is the biggest industry. There is never going to be a time when we don’t need it. It is constantly evolving and it is a market where anyone can jump in. So, what are you waiting for? Years ago, I taught free classes on how to make cosmetics. I would create formulas and give them away in hopes of someone picking up the baton and taking that formula and turning it in a booming business. Only one person did. It was a lady and her daughter who needed some money for Christmas. They took my bath bomb class. They turned a free class into making $40,000 a year the following year. I know it’s not much, but she was recently divorced with the help of divorce and college tuition attorneys, and the bath bombs she and her daughter made got her through a rough patch. It is good to hear that we can also find many lawyers fighting for the LGBTQIA community by uplifting justice. In such situations, it is best to visit the Jensen Family Law home page and find a reliable attorney to help you with your case. I later learned the reason many of my students didn’t follow up and make products of their own was I gave them projections of what they could make. I was honest. Chances are you are not going to become rich. Chances are that only your friends and family will purchase from you. So many people are attracted to coaches, teachers, and motivators who promise you 6 figure income. I wanted to be realistic. I wanted it to be fun. I wanted to show people how to make extra income. So if you need an extra 1,000 or more a month. This little recipe can do it. And it’s free. Let me show you how.
From October to somewhere in January (lol) it’s soap season or craft season. It’s the time of year that people are purchasing, looking for, and desiring handmade or homemade products. It’s my busiest time of year. I’ve been doing this for over 10 years, so most of my customers are wholesalers and distributors or people who private label my products. While I do have Laeh Shea Apothecary, 90% of my business comes from the internet and contractors. If you are serious, you too can get to this level much quicker than it took me. In my retirement, I have reclaimed my passion of creating………
So for those who are up for the challenge. I’m challenging you to make the recipe below and sell this to make an additional $1,000 more a month. How do you ask? First, I want you to create a post for all your social media platforms. In this post, you will inform your audience that you have decided to take your health and wealth a priority. A post detailing that you have decided to start or restart a business to generate income for… I’ve learned that the more personal my posts are the better the communication is between me and the reader. This builds trust. Trust turns into conversion. Conversion turns into profits. I’m weird, quirky, and eccentric. Guess what? There’s an audience for that. Whoever you are, there’s an audience for you.
After you have informed your followers, family, and friends, it’s time to find something unique about this scrub. You may look at the recipe and decided to add something different. You may add a different kind of sugar, or do it as a salt scrub. When most people were making scrubs and everyone’s scrub looked alike, I found black salt and Himalayan salt and made scrubs. I wasn’t necessarily better, but different. In the end, I sold more than others. At each place, I would sell out or sell more than others. But, there was a problem. I had so many different other products that I didn’t sell. If the customers were buying butters, they would ignore my scrubs. If the soaps were selling, then the butters and scrubs would get ignored. I didn’t know my audience. Today, my message to others is to start small. I keep it simple even today. My storefront only carries the things I like, trust and need. I don’t need 5 different kinds of scrubs. I don’t need 5 different kinds of vitamins. So start small. Give your customers 2 to 3 choices of scrubs. This will save you time and money. This recipe can be substituted with a different kind of salt, a different herb, a different carrier oil, and a different fragrance.
I want you to make 10 scrubs. Put your price point at $10 to $15. Sell it for more, if you got it like that. I want you to sell it in 10 days. When you sell them. I want you to re-up on your supplies. Create 20 scrubs this time. This time, I want you to have several of your friends give you an honest review of your product and they post it on their social media page. Repeat this one more time. And you could easily make an extra 3 to 5k this craft season.
