If you are a globetrotter like me, then you have heard of packing cubes. If you haven’t heard of them then you have been wronged! I love organization and because I am a frequent traveler I needed to find something that makes my luggage more organized. Firstly, I must admit my addiction. One of my addictions centers around luggage. You see years ago, when I first began my career, I would travel to this 5-star hotel. I would always marvel at the ladies that would come in with the bellman and see their coordinated luggage. I always thought the was so cute. I actually thought this is only what rich people have when they travel. After all, there was no way that I could afford the Louis Vuitton 8 pc travel set on my salary. But, these women traveled like bosses.
As I began to increase the frequency that I traveled I would pick up a piece of nice luggage here and there. That’s where the problem began. I wanted luggage for all my different personalities. (you can only imagine how many that might be). I wanted luggage for short trips, long trips, short business trips, girlfriend weekends. You get the point. The bottom line is I have a problem that I don’t want fixed. Over the years I have gifted most of my past purchases and have not settled on some pretty affordable packing solutions. Packing cubes.
Packing cubes are soft mesh bags that organize your clothes in your suitcase. I love it because if TSA were to check your bags publically (and they do) some of your more delicate items do not have to be on display for the world to see. The bags allow you to compartmentalize your clothes into certain categories and it maximizes that amount of usable space you have. What’s even better is they come in the prettiest of colors and now they have the super compression style cubes.(YES!) I purchased mine on Amazon a few years ago and they were super affordable. I recently noticed that TJ Maxx carries them right before you get to the counter at several different locations. I recently purchased the BeBe brand luggage cubes (don’t ask how many I have) and right now they are the best! I’m not an affiliate of any brands, but the E-bags and the Away bags are AWESOME SAUCE. For my upcoming trip, I purchased the Peak Gear crossbody bag on Amazon. You can find it here:
Tomorrow let’s talk how to pack
