Turn Up The Smell Thursdays: Today is another wet on my side of town. While it is not quite Christmas I still enjoy the smell of pine mixed with other fall fragrances. I drove through Flat Rock Park, near me  to pick pine cones the other day for a project.  I couldn’t resists picking some pine needles to add somewhere in m fall decor.  I have frequently used pine in my cleaning products so I not exactly opposed to having it simmering in my house.  I didn’t want to be accused of cleaning my house today, because it’s raining outside and cleaning is the last thing on my mind.

On rainy days, I like my home to smell nice and cozy. So here’s what I am simmering today for homegood smell.

I had some leftover apples and pineapple for one of my drinks and I threw that in the pot.  I added some grapefruit, cranberries, lemon, cinnamon stick, a little ginger, and my little pine that I collected.  RESULTS: fragrance heaven in my kitchen and dining room. Cost: had everything at home. I threw in a little Mexican Vanilla and I don’t know if I am going to get out the house today. I think I’m going to go back and crawl under the covers with a great Hibiscus Tea.
